Help fill a teacher’s back-to-school wish list

As the start of school quickly approaches, the Highland Lakes Crisis Network is encouraging residents to purchase items on teachers’ Amazon.com wish lists. A growing list of 27 teachers asking for assistance can be found on the Crisis Network’s Facebook page.
“Please consider randomly picking a teacher or two and buying something off of their Amazon Wish List,” the network’s post reads. “It takes about 60 seconds and is a HUGE blessing to these deserving teachers!”
The Highland Lakes Crisis Network asked teachers to drop links to their Amazon wish lists into the comment section of its post on July 29. By Aug. 2, the post had received more than 100 comments.
Elementary and middle school teachers from the Marble Falls and Burnet Consolidated independent school districts responded to the post. Each teacher listed which school and grade they teach. Lists include products such as dry erase markers, chapter books, and Play-Doh.
Items purchased from the wish lists will be shipped directly to the address the list creator provides on Amazon.com.
