Head-on crash near Buchanan Dam kills one, injures another

BUCHANAN DAM — A 37-year-old Taylor man has died and a Buchanan Dam man is in stable condition after a collision on Texas 29.
The crash was reported at 3 a.m. Jan. 3 on Texas 29 about four miles west of Buchanan Dam, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety report.
A 2006 Ford F-150 driven by 45-year-old Jason Hedden of Buchanan Dam was traveling west when it collided head-on with another vehicle.
Michael Terry of Taylor was driving the second vehicle, a 2015 Nissan. Terry was pronounced dead at 4:43 a.m. at the scene by Llano County Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace Era Marion.
Hedden was transported to Austin’s University Medical Center Brackenridge in stable condition with non-incapacitating injuries.
