Ruby Lenora Behrens, 89, of Austin passed away Oct. 29, 2015. She was born to Francis L. and Daisy Mae (Kibler) Paisley on Feb. 7, 1926, in Chicago.

Mrs. Behrens grew up as a Church of Christ minister’s daughter. The family moved frequently in her formative years contributing to the family’s ministry. She committed to and lived a Christian lifestyle and most recently was a member of Westover Church of Christ. She enjoyed her Sunday school class, properly named the Lovely Ladies Lunch Group.

She married David William Behrens on Dec. 23, 1945, in Tyler, Texas, and he preceded her in death in 1999. Her passion was her family, proudly represented with a breathtaking display of photographs in her apartment. She was an avid University of Texas Longhorns athletics fan and either watched or listened to football, basketball and baseball games.

She is survived by her daughters, Diane Craft and husband Allen of Lampasas, Donna McCasland and husband Woody of Horseshoe Bay and Debra Bailey and husband Jeff of Austin; grandchildren, Cory Craft, Stephanie Craft-Ryan and husband Cleve, Chad Craft and wife Colette, Shane Whitehead and wife Kimber, Shaylene Whitewood-Chatham and husband Peyton, AnJanette McCasland-Hammit, Brad McCasland and wife Letitia, Kimberley Bailey-Hansen and husband Eric and Brent Baley; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and sister.
