Barbara Jeanne Rentz-Hockett, 85, of Kingsland died Nov. 3, 2015
Barbara Jeanne Rentz-Hockett, 85, of Kingsland, Texas, passed away Nov. 3, 2015. She was born to Wayne and Arlene (Rowan) Pickett on May 30, 1930, in Albion, Michigan.
Barbara had her own tax and accounting business, which she greatly enjoyed. She also enjoyed crocheting, flowers and her dogs and was an avid birdwatcher.
She is survived by her son, Sidney Roy Rentz and wife Elaine of Cody, Wyoming; three granddaughters; six great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Milton Roy Rentz; and second husband, Murry Hockett.
Barbara was blessed with some very special friends and neighbors, with whom she enjoyed spending time.
Visitation is 4-6 p.m. Nov. 5 at Putnam Funeral Home, 145 Texas Ave. in Kingsland, (325) 388-0008. A graveside service is 10 a.m. Nov. 6 at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park Cemetery on Park Road 4 in Burnet with the Rev. Joannie Jackson presiding.
