Florence Marie Riewe, 87, of Kingsland died Nov. 5, 2015
Florence Marie Riewe, 87, of Kingsland, formerly of Sunrise Beach, passed away Nov. 5, 2015. She was born to August and Anna Marie (Paulo) Koslan on June 30, 1928, in Hamilton County, Texas.
Mrs. Riewe married Louis Riewe on June 9, 1951, in Austin, Texas. They traveled across the United States taking thousands of landscape photographs. She was a lifelong artist and used the photographs as inspiration for landscape painting.
She enjoyed fellowship and was a member of Genesis Lutheran Church in Buchanan Dam, Texas. She was also a member of the Highland Arts Guild.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Louis R. Riewe, of Kingsland; son, James Riewe and wife Vicki of Meadowlakes; grandchildren, John Riewe of Marble Falls, Krissi Riewe of Austin, Rachel Riewe of Meadowlakes and Joshua Riewe of Meadowlakes.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Monroe Koslan.
Visitation is 4-6 p.m. Nov. 8 at Putnam Funeral Home, 145 Texas Ave. in Kingsland, (325) 388-0008. A funeral service is 10 a.m. Nov. 9 at Genesis Lutheran Church with Pastor Jonathan Bontke officiating. Interment is 2 p.m. Nov. 9 at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Pflugerville.
