MARBLE FALLS — While most “back-to-school” attention focuses on area public schools, the Highland Lakes has a number of high-quality private schools as well.
Since its humble roots on Mormon Mill Drive in Marble Falls, Faith Academy of Marble Falls has grown and expanded to a highly regarded faith-based school. Faith Academy, now located at 3151 RR 1431 East, is a university model school at students attend classes three days a week.
On days they don’t attend classes, parents continue providing educational instruction or oversee it.

First Baptist Christian School, located on the First Baptist Church of Marble Falls campus, provides a faith-based learning environment for students from kindergarten through eighth grade.
Students learn math, science, social studies, the Bible, art, music, drama and Spanish, take part in EXCEL Challenge and have the use of a computer lab. Students in grades 5-8 also participate in fine arts and competitive athletics.

The Living Word Academy, which grew out of Living Word Lutheran Church’s After School Assistance Program, provides students with a classical education and shares the “Gospel message of Jesus Christ to the children who attend the school and their families,” according to its website.
The school, 918 Second St. in Marble Falls, emphasizes a connection with parents and families. Living Word Academy “exists to assist parents with this awesome responsibility” to educate their children.

In Llano, Llano Christian Academy offers pre-school though secondary education. It is a non-denominational school “that seeks to provide a Christ-centered, Biblically integrated education with a focus on academic excellence,” according to its website.

Actually Faith Academy has all their grade levels at three days per week starting this year, not just 6-12.
