Dixie Evans, 79, of Kingsland died Feb. 25, 2015

Dixie Evans, 79, of Kingsland, Texas, passed away Feb. 25, 2015. She was born to Lawrence and Laura Mae (Walker) Cerrato on Jan. 9, 1936, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

She worked most of her life as a school bus driver and enjoyed the children who were on her bus.

Mrs. Evans is survived by her daughters, Jackie Millican and husband Robert of Kingsland, Laura Mayer and husband David of Conroe and Cindy Mifflin and husband Steve of Fort Worth; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother Douglas Cerrato and wife June of Canyon Lake; sister, Dodi Ferguson and husband Buddy of Mahomet; and sister-in-law Gloria Cerrato of Lake Houston. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive her.

Dixie was preceded in death by her parents and brother Greg Cerrato.
