BURNET — The Burnet High School volleyball team remains undefeated in District 25-4A play.
The Lady Dawgs swept Taylor 25-17, 25-22, 25-15 on Oct. 3 on the heels of beating Llano 25-9, 19-25, 25-14, 25-19 on Sept. 30.

AUSTIN — The Marble Falls High School volleyball team lost to Leander Vandegrift 13-25, 15-25, 11-25 in a District 25-5A contest Oct. 3.
Lady Mustangs head coach Julie Downs said district teams are performing to the standard of the division.
“The Lady Mustangs are fighting hard in the face of tough district competition,” she said. “I am very proud of how hard our Lady Mustangs are fighting to bring home a win. We are taking each of these teams to long rallies, digging hard-hit balls and serves, and chasing down anything in their reach.”
But when opponents make mistakes, Downs said she would like to see her players capitalize more consistently.
“We are just not taking advantage of our opponents’ errors and capitalizing on their weaknesses,” she said. “We are evolving and becoming a smarter, tougher team.”
