MARBLE FALLS — The Faith Academy volleyball team has a new head coach.
It’s Jeanne Jackson, the school’s junior high supervisor, a job she started in January 2014.
Athletic director Jessie Crow said, once he got to know her, naming her the volleyball coach was a simple decision.
“Her quality of person and quality of coach,” he said were the reasons.
The two spoke in March about the position, he said. The staff also will include assistant coaches Ben Henderson and Amy Gray.
Jackson was a coach at Burnet Middle School before becoming a member of the Faith Academy staff.
Jackson takes over the program from Mandi Mullen, who was the head coach in 2013 after being the assistant coach in 2012.
“We hated to lose Mandi,” Crow said, “but we’re extremely excited to get a quality coach like Jeanne.”
The Lady Flames will begin fall training camp in August.
