JOHNSON CITY — The Hill Country will soon go national when a new A&E Network show premieres July 13.

“Lone Star Lady” focuses on Johnson City mother Rochelle Carnes while she balances being a wife, a daughter, a sister and a mother to four boys after recently striking oil.

According to A&E, the show premieres with two episodes at 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. July 13.

Carnes is outspoken and stands out in a family of characters. While the family has enjoyed the perks of their newfound wealth, Carnes works to maintain their humble roots while raising four boys.

Rochelle and husband, Trenton, live near her mother and father in a ranch house next to land that Rochelle’s family has owned for more than a century. Sons Jake, 17, Luke, 13, Dade, 9, and Tate, 8, push the boundaries with their parents, but Rochelle and Trenton come out on top in the end.

The Carnes live in Johnson City, but scenes from the series were filmed in other Hill Country towns.
