OBITUARY: Ida Edward King Norris, 84, of Llano dies July 2, 2014

Ida Edward King Norris passed away July 2, 2014, at Llano Nursing and Rehab Center in Llano, Texas. She was born Dec. 9, 1929, in Brady, Texas, to Jodie and Ollie (Wash) King.

Ida was a resident of Llano since 1967, coming from Austin. She was baptized in San Saba Full Gospel Church.

She married Charles “Buster” Norris on April 2, 1962, in Acuna, Mexico.

Ida worked as a waitress, a grocery clerk and a veterinarian helper. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, country music, friends and family. She loved to talk, and she loved her pet named Sugar.

She was preceded in death by husband, Charles “Buster” Norris, in 1999 and her parents, Jody and Ollie (Wash) King.

Survivors include daughter, Betsy Rogers of Fort Worth; stepsons, Charlie Norris and wife of Houston and Dudley Norris of San Saba; stepdaughter, Juanita Kay Yarbrough and husband of San Saba; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service is 10 a.m. July 5 at Llano City Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Hood officiating.
