OBITUARY: Bobby Dwayne George, 78, of Burnet County dies March 22, 2014

A funeral service for Bobby Dwayne George, 78, of Burnet County is 10 a.m. March 28 at the Church of Christ in Teague, Texas. His nephew Richard George will officiate assisted by his brother Holton George. Burial will follow at George Cemetery in the Clay Hill community.

He passed away March 22, 2014, at Corner Stone Hospital in Round Rock.

George was born on the Clark farm east of Donie, Texas, on Sept. 16, 1935, to Odell and Jewel George, the ninth of 13 children.

He graduated from Teague High School in 1954.

After graduating high school, he lived in the Dallas area for five or six years, then in San Angelo and Brady for many years, working as a TV repairman. For the last two months, he lived in Burnet County, where his brother Holton could be there to look out for him.

He is survived by his sisters Lisa Monk and husband Chris of Garland, Fredia Arnold and husband Clayton of Burnet and Rita Black and husband Argie of Teague; brother Holton George and wife Reta of Marble Falls; sister-in-law Berle George of Teague; and brother-in-law Jack Oribson of Jacksonville. He is also survived by too many nieces, nephews and other family members to name and a host of friends and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Odell and Jewell George; sisters Zudell Haroski and husband Raymond, Rae Mitchell and husband J.W. “Dub”, Eunice Cothran and husband Raymond and Tola Oribson of Jacksonville; brothers Johnnie George, Boyce Odell George, Billy George and Travis George.
