OBITUARY: Louise Foster, 89, of Burnet dies Feb. 11, 2014

Louise Foster, 89, of Burnet, Texas, passed away Feb. 11, 2014, with family at her bedside.

Louise and her husband of 71 years, Lawrence, lived on Lake Buchanan for 33 years. She was born to Roy and Brady Ellie (Kirk) Nunn on Nov. 13, 1924, in Cameron, Texas, the oldest of their 10 children.

Louise met her husband, Lawrence, in San Antonio, marrying on Jan. 3, 1943. Together, they raised their three daughters in San Antonio until moving to McAllen for 10 years and then retiring to their home on Lake Buchanan.

Louise was a homemaker, making most of her daughters’ clothes when they were young, and was a fantastic cook. She dearly loved her family and grandchildren and was always there to help them throughout her life.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Foster; daughters and sons-in-law, Sherye Louise Foster, Linda and Walter Geraghty of San Antonio and Susan and John R. Handley of Katy; eight grandchildren, Robert Weaver and wife Andrea, Holly Garver and husband David, Walter Geraghty and wife Lauren, Patrick Geraghty, and Lieren, Lindsey, Clay and Chelsea Handley; two great-grandchildren, Seth and Hope Garver; brothers and sister-in-laws, David and Mary Belle Nunn of Garland, Howard Gene and Sharon Nunn, Gladys and Ollie Moye and Judy and Boyd Newby, all of San Antonio, Mary Mercer of Dothan, Ala., and Lela Neidlinger of Adkins; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers George, Roy Jr. and Ronnie Nunn.

Visitation is 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Feb. 21 at Putnam Funeral Home, 145 Texas Ave. in Kingsland, (325) 388-0008. A funeral service is 11 a.m. Feb. 22 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park Cemetery in Burnet.
