BURNET — Two people died after the pickup in which they were traveling left the roadway and landed in the water Dec. 7 just outside Burnet on CR 341, also known as Mormon Mill Road, according to a Department of Public Safety report.

The driver, Jerry Ross, 51, and the passenger, Elizabeth Nigrelli, 35, both of Bertram, were pronounced dead at the scene at 5:57 a.m.

The report stated authorities received a call about a 2008 Chevrolet pickup on its top in a creek about three miles southeast of Burnet.
