MARBLE FALLS — The Marble Falls High School boys basketball team lost to Georgetown East View 79-44 in its season opener Nov. 15.

“We had two days of practice and nine new guys,” Mustangs head coach Neil Laminack said. “I was hoping for a better showing. You can’t expect too much.”

He said he began the Nov. 18 practice by emphasizing to his players the importance of making every minute of preparation count. The roster includes 15 players.

“We need to figure out who plays well together,” Laminack said. “It’s a good problem to have. We have 20 games to figure it out because only one record matters.”

That’s the District 25-4A record.
