Marble Falls Middle School volleyball squad finishes third at Burnet tourney

BURNET — The Marble Falls Middle School eighth-grade A volleyball team finished third at the Burnet Tournament on Sept. 28.
In the medal match, the Lady Mustangs faced Brownwood for the second time in the tournament after a first-game loss.
Marble Falls won 25-18, 25-13. Coach Kelly Clark said the reason for the victory came down to her team playing “very good defense.”
“They dug four balls out of the net and made a play out of them,” she said.
The Lady Mustangs defeated Liberty Hill 26-24, 25-16 and began the event with a 23-25, 14-25 loss to Brownwood.
