OBITUARY: Elizabeth ‘Kookie’ Mezger, 84, of Marble Falls dies July 28, 2013

Elizabeth “Kookie” Mezger, 84, of Marble Falls died July 28, 2013. Born July 31, 1928, in Corpus Christi, she was the daughter of John and Virginia (Andrews) Manley.

Kookie is survived by her husband, Jacob Lee Mezger of Marble Falls; daughter, Janice Elaine Kurio of Marble Falls; son, Eric Lee Mezger Sr. and wife Patricia of Marble Falls; grandsons, Brent Jacob Kurio of Walburg and Eric Lee Mezger Jr. of Marble Falls; granddaughter, Tiffany Ann Christopher of Marble Falls; and many great-grandchildren.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church and sang in the choir for many years. She loved people and entertaining. She was one of the oldest members to attend the Rotary Club fish fry every year. Kookie also was an artist, played piano, enjoyed traveling, cooking and baking, and lived life to the fullest.

Kookie was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She gave the best hugs and kisses. We miss you so much.

A memorial service is 10 a.m. Aug. 2 at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jon Weems officiating.
