LLANO — The Llano Football Camp will be conducted July 22-24 at the high school practice fields, 2509 S. Texas 16.

Cost is $30. Incoming fourth- through sixth-graders participate 8-9:30 a.m., while incoming seventh- through ninth-graders play from 10 a.m.-noon.

The camp director is head coach Craig Slaughter.

The younger students will get a solid introduction to the sport, he said.

“We’ll talk football and have fun with the fundamentals,” he said. “They’ll get to know the coaches, and we’ll plant the seeds.”

The older players will enjoy a more advanced camp, Slaughter said.

“We’ll have more detailed football drills,” he said.

Players can sign up on the first day of the camp.

Llano Middle School and High School athletes who haven’t gotten physicals yet should pick up forms at the front office or at the athletic director’s office, both located at Llano High School, 2509 S. Texas 16.

Physicals have to be filed with the athletic director before the start of fall training camps that start Aug. 5.
