Still time to sign up for Marble Falls booster club tourneys; Cory Morrow to perform
FROM STAFF REPORTS
MARBLE FALLS — Spots are still available to participate in the golf and tennis tournament fundraisers that benefit the Marble Falls Athletic Booster Club.
And the entertainment is country music singer Cory Morrow. Morrow and his wife, Sherry, will play in the golf tournament, MFABC president Laurie Hill Chapman said.
The family lives in the Spicewood area, she said, and their children will attend the Marble Falls Independent School District. So the two wanted to give back, the president added.
She also credited Tim Stallard, who is serving as the tennis tournament director, for connecting the Morrows to MFABC.
“They’re really excited to be a part of this fundraiser,” Hill Chapman said. “It worked out.”
The event is June 23 with both tournaments starting at 1 p.m. The cost is $175 for golfers and $70 for tennis players. If people just want to eat barbecue and listen to Morrow, the cost is $40.
Hole sponsorships are available for $100.
In addition, a silent auction will be conducted.
“I really want to see Marble Falls come out,” Hill Chapman said. “I really want to see the community come out and support athletics. Next season is coming up.”
