Highland Lakes homeschooling group holding share and swap June 20

SPECIAL TO THE PICAYUNE

MARBLE FALLS — Whether a veteran of homeschooling, new to it or considering it, the Texas Hill Country Homeschoolers group is inviting individuals and families to its curriculum share and swap June 20.

The Texas Hill Country Homeschoolers group is holding the event at Johnson Park, 230 Ave. J South, in the covered picnic area at 6:30 p.m.

Local homeschoolers Belynda Abbey and Jennifer Jones will give a short presentation. They also will have curriculum on hand for people to look at and ask questions about.

Homeschoolers also may bring curriculum they think others might be interested in learning more about.

There will be a separate table for a curriculum swap. People may bring books and curriculum they are no longer using to share and swap.

The event also gives people interested in or considering homeschooling a place to come, ask questions and seek information.

Children are welcome. The organizers will have teenagers on hand to supervise children while parents attend the event. People interested in attending can email Jones at kjjones@nctv.com and include the number of children also coming.
