OBITUARY: Minnie Bell Deleon, 94, of Bertram dies May 12, 2013
A service for Minnie Bell DeLeon, 94, of Bertram is 10:30 a.m. May 14 at the Church of Christ in Bertram with Ronnie Brooks and Gary Blakeney officiating. Interment will follow at Oatmeal Cemetery.
Minnie was born June 22, 1918, in Burnet County to John and Dollie Loving Heine and passed from this life May 12, 2013, surrounded by her loving family.
She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ in Bertram for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Brack L. DeLeon, in 1999; daughter Patsy Jean; sisters Sarah “Tip” Kinnibrugh, Gertie Mae Crawford and twin Maggie Thurman; and brothers, William “Bill” Heine, J.C. “Clifton” Heine, Malcolm “Doc” Heine and Temple “Pete” Heine.
She is survived by her daughters, Dollie “Florene” Brown and husband Richard “Charlie” of Bertram and Linda Cox and husband Don of Lampasas; sister Winona Wall of Dublin, Texas; seven grandchildren, Lou Ann Taylor and husband James of Houston, Donna Sims and husband Tony of Carrollton, Tommy Campbell and wife Debbie of Springtown, Roger Cox and wife Cheryl of Lampasas, Richard Cox and wife Katherine of Lampasas, Rory Cox and wife Talara of Hunstville and John Campbell of Liberty Hill; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ivan “Bus” Thurman, Keith Thurman, Oscar “Kinny” Kinnibrugh, Steven DeLeon, William DeLeon, Tommy Franklin, Michael Franklin and David Headrick.
