OBITUARY: Glenn Doyle Hopkins, 78, of Burnet dies May 11, 2013
Glenn Doyle Hopkins, 78, of Burnet passed away May 11, 2013. He was born June 21, 1934, in Burnet to Clyde C. and Opal Schafer Hopkins.
He worked for many years as a fence-building contractor and enjoyed playing dominos and telling stories.
He is survived by his daughter, Shirley Ann Hickman and husband Willie of Burnet; sons, Darrell Glenn Hopkins, Randy Dene Hopkins and Jimmy Doyle Hopkins, all of Burnet; brothers Kenneth Hopkins and Curtis Hopkins, both of Burnet; and sister, Guen Hullum of Georgetown. He also is survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Charlotte; and two brothers.
A graveside service and interment is 10 a.m. May 15 at Post Mountain Cemetery.
