Faith Academy girls basketball picks up all-district, all-state honors

MARBLE FALLS — The Faith Academy girls basketball team announced several end-of-the-year awards during its annual banquet March 5.
The Lady Flames finished the season with a 36-3 record and a fifth trip to the Class 2A state tournament of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools.
Academic all-state members have to be a junior or senior, be named first-team all-district and maintain a 90 or above.
ALL-DISTRICT 4-2A: Most Valuable Player – Bailey Brinkley; first team – Taylor Denton, Juliette Fisher, Joanna Piatek, Kristen Cherry; second team – Rebekah Graham, Sierra Brinkley
ALL-STATE: First team – B. Brinkley, Denton; second team – Fisher
ALL-STATE TOURNAMENT: B. Brinkley, Fisher
ACADEMIC ALL-STATE: B. Brinkley, Cherry, Piatek
FIGHTING HEART: Cherry (voted on by the players)
