MARBLE FALLS — Marble Falls High School soccer player Jesse Arreguin played in only his second varsity game Feb. 22 but made a big difference.

The sophomore scored two goals, both in the second half, to help the Mustangs beat Leander Rouse 4-2.

“He showed a lot of composure in his two games,” Marble Falls head coach Michael Nave said.

Senior forward Misael Garcia got the Mustangs started by scoring two goals in the first half.

Nave said the Mustangs love playing at home where they remain undefeated at 7-0-1.

“The kids play with a lot of confidence at home,” he said. “You want to win as many home games as you can.”

He also credited the defense, particularly sophomore goalie Carlos Campos.

“Carlos had a lot of great saves,” he said.
