Faith head coach Randy Denton said the Flames’ defensive pressure led to numerous offensive opportunities.

“I think we came out and took control with the pressure defense early on and took them out of what they wanted,” he said. “That’s how we play. We run the ball with good pressure defense and rebound. I thought everyone played well.”

The victory helps the Flames solidify third place in the standings in District 4-2A of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools for now, Denton said. But the outcome of the Flames’ game against Austin Hill Country on Feb. 1 will clarify the standings.
