John Henry Bray, 83, of Kingsland, Texas, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Jan. 7, 2013. Johnny was born to Henry Carl and Cloteal Pierce Bray, who both preceded him death, on Sept. 25, 1929, in McCurtain, Okla.

At a young age, he joined the Air Force and was stationed in San Antonio, Texas. During that time, he met the love of his life for 63 years, Betty Jo Jackson. A few years later, they settled in Marble Falls, Texas, with their two children and built their own flooring business, Johnny’s Floors. Although no longer owners of the business, Johnny’s Floors is still going strong to this day.

Johnny lived life to the fullest, spending the majority of his time fishing, playing music and entertaining loved ones at the couple’s house on Lake LBJ. When not home, he and Betty spent their days and nights traveling across the United States in their custom motor coach, meeting many great friends along the way.

Johnny Bray loved his wife, his family and his friends with all his heart. If you ever got to spend time with him, you were either learning something or having the time of your life. He did not know a stranger.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Betty Bray; daughter, Peggy Thurman; son, Joe (Debbie) Bray; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He also is survived by four sisters, Marjorie (Jerry) Cox, Delores Stimpert, Katie (Chuck) Putney and Mary Jo Bray.

Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Jan. 11 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 U.S. 281 North in Marble Falls, (830) 693-4373. A funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Jan. 12 at the funeral home with Bro. Max Copeland officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park.
