Faith girls get ninth straight win against Lometa
LOMETA — The Faith Academy of Marble Falls girls basketball team turned a five-point lead after the first period into a lopsided 68-39 victory against Lometa on Dec. 4.
The Lady Flames outscored Lometa 20-2 in the second quarter and 19-5 in third for their 13th victory of the season and their ninth consecutive win.
"Our defense set up several fast breaks," Faith head coach Jerry English said. "They couldn’t get back."
Lometa began the game by hitting a 3-pointer, which forced the Lady Flames to play well from the start, English said.
"After that, we tightened, we played well," he said.
