No. 1 Lady Flames dominate Cherokee

MARBLE FALLS — The Faith Academy of Marble Falls girls basketball team, ranked No. 1 in the small private schools poll by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches, gave up a total of 20 points in 24 minutes of play en route to a 71-35 victory against Cherokee on Nov. 27.

That allowed Faith head coach Jerry English to freely substitute, which meant nine Lady Flames scored.

English was happy to see senior guard Bailey Brinkley, who tore an anterior cruciate ligament last year, regain some of her natural quickness.
