Faith Flames prepare for next playoff opponent
MARBLE FALLS — The Faith Academy of Marble Falls football team’s dream of winning a state championship continues against Halletsville Sacred Heart on Nov. 23.
The game is 7 p.m. at House Park, 1301 Shoal Creek Blvd. in Austin.
Sacred Heart was a state finalist a year ago.
Head coach Russ Roberts said the Flames (11-0) will face what he considers to be their best opponent of the season.
“We’ve played some good teams,” he said. “I’m not sure any of them are as good as Halletsville.”
With the academy enjoying the Thanksgiving holiday week, the players have been practicing in the mornings.
The Flames spent the practice early Nov. 19 observing scout-team members in Sacred Heart formations and getting position information from coaches.
Tickets for the game are $8 for adults and $3 for students. Faith Academy is the visiting team.
