Faith head coach Jerry English said his athletes didn’t play with a high level of energy against Lago Vista and overmatched Lanier in the afternoon game.
Lago Vista hit a 3-pointer with three seconds left in the game to make the ending interesting.
"It was a very disappointing effort," English said. "We shot a lot of free throws. That was a positive."
Faith led 12-10 after the first period, 26-25 at the half and were tied 37-37 after three quarters.
"The game got pretty physical," English said. "We started whining about the officials. I’m not a fan of that."
Meanwhile, Faith only allowed Lanier two points in each half, racing to a 23-0 lead after the first period.
