Pierre "Pete" Denis Blondin, 68, of Burnet died Oct. 31, 2012. He was born in Waterbury, Conn., to Norman E. and Mary (Andrasko) Blondin on July 19, 1944.
He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam war. He married Linda Fay Sanford July 5, 1968, while stationed at Bergstrom Air Force Base in Austin.
He lived in the Austin area for many years. He had a volunteer spirit. He was an emergency medical technician and loved driving ambulances. He wrote manuals for numerous high-tech companies.
He was a technical writer and could write books on just about anything. He worked as an independent contractor for many large companies. In his spare time he enjoyed taking day trips across Texas.
In addition to his wife of 44 years, survivors include daughter Danielle Blondin of Dallas; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Tim Blondin.
A graveside service is 11 a.m. Nov. 5 at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 Texas 195 in Killeen, with military honors.
Pallbearers include Richard Baker, Ricky Baker, Michael Baker, Theron Baker, Zach Baker and Mason Baker. Honorary pallbearer is Matt Baker.
