Jerome “Jay” William Littlepage, 65, of Kingsland died in his home Oct. 27, 2012. He was born to Jay T. and Alice Louise (Birkner) Littlepage on Sept. 23, 1947, in Wheeling, W. Va.
He grew up in Kent, Ohio, and served his country as a Marine in Vietnam. He got a start in the restaurant business in Boulder, Colo., where he met Kathleen Tucker, his wife of 18 years.
He moved to Austin in 1977 where he owned and operated Mike and Charlie’s Restaurant for 14 years. In 2000, he became the general manager of the Antlers Hotel in Kingsland. He was a talented woodworker, and even built his own hay bale house.
Survivors include daughter Sarah and husband Chris Casarez of Brooklyn, N.Y.; son Ryan Littlepage of Washington, D.C.; grandson T.J. Casarez; brother Dick Littlepage of Philadelphia; sister Terry Munderloh of Arizona; and stepsister Anne Sartori of Boston.
A wake is 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 3 at 3224 Park Hills Drive in Austin.
