Janet Lee Hurst
Janet Lee Hurst, 56, of Kingsland died Aug. 27, 2012. She was born March 31, 1956, to Joanne (Faught) Rushing and Harold Rushing in Lamesa.
She married Billy Don Hurst in Oahu, Hawaii, in 1992. She loved cooking, plants, gardening and canning. She was a loving mother, wife, aunt and grandmother, and known to her family as “our Texas Rose.”
Survivors include sons James Edward Payne Jr. of Kingsland and Danny Payne of Temple; brothers Ricky Rushing of Kingsland and Gary Rushing of Chickasha, Okla.; sisters Cindy Boatwright of Lexington, Okla., Judy Rushing of Kingsland, Jackie Jones of Burnet and Connie Warden of Burnet; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2009 and her parents.
No services are planned.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hoover Valley Baptist Church.
