Alice Jane Bedell Parks, 86, of Kingsland died July 14, 2012. She was born in Concord, Vt., on Dec. 21, 1925, to Ward and Jean (Fellows) Bedell.
She worked as an accounts clerk in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and operated a rental-property cleaning business in Colorado Springs, Colo. She had lived in the Kingsland area since 2007. Before that, she was a resident of Round Rock.
After retirement, she and her husband, Howard, loved to travel by recreational vehicle. She had traveled to 49 states, and at the age of 80, by herself, visited two of her grandsons in Alaska.
Survivors include children Raymond Parks and wife Linda of Okeechobee, Fla., Sarah Oberndorfer and husband Calvin of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Susan Wieland and husband Mark of Kingsland; foster son John Foley and wife Sharon of Davenport, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A celebration of life is 3 p.m. July 22 at the residence of Susan Wieland. Inurnment will be in the fall in Concord, Vt.
