Bertram woman dies in collision with train; services set for June 17
BERTRAM — A 59-year-old Bertram woman died June 9 after her car was involved in a collision with a train.
The accident occurred about 12:50 p.m. on CR 269, according to the Department of Public Safety.
Susan Kay “Susie” Root Schmidt died at the railroad crossing on 269, which is just north of Texas 29 and east of the city limits, officials said.
