MARBLE FALLS — Right after Neil Laminack told Marble Falls High School athletic director Todd Dodge he was accepting the boys head basketball coaching position, Dodge told Laminack that he had to go.

“I need to talk to this apparel rep about uniforms,” Laminack recalled Dodge saying, “and to my girls basketball coach Chris Jost.”

“Chris Jost?” Laminack asked.

That’s when Laminack told his new boss about his college coach’s son, who was not much older than Laminack, who used to practice with the team and then sit on the bench during games as an assistant.
