Marble Falls sophomore having successful summer basketball season
MARBLE FALLS — Just because Marble Falls High School sophomore Garrett Gray has been spending time on the gridiron doesn’t mean he’s not working on his basketball skills.
In fact, Gray has helped his summer team, the D-1 Ambassadors, reach the semifinal rounds in four tournaments in the past several weeks.
The Ambassadors were in the final four of the Best Buy Mile High Classic tournament in Colorado and the GASO tournament in Dallas and went 5-1 at Hal Pastner’s Bigfoot Hoops tournament in Houston.
The Ambassador players are underclassmen but play in divisions against teams made up of upperclassmen.
Gray is the second-leading scorer on the squad, said Darren Gray, his father.
