Burnet, Llano and Marble Falls teams begin 7-on-7
BURNET — The Burnet High School football practice fields will be filled with activity May 24.
That’s because 7-on-7 teams from Georgetown Eastview, Llano and Marble Falls will take on the Bulldogs starting at 6 p.m. The Burnet practice fields are located next to the fieldhouse, 1000 The Green Mile.
Each squad will play in three games. Quarterbacks will call passing plays for their running backs and receivers. Though there’s not a pass rush, defensive backs drop back into coverage.
The games will help prepare Burnet and Marble Falls for state qualifying tournaments.
The Bulldogs travel to Gatesville, while the Mustangs will be at Round Rock Westwood on May 26.
