MARBLE FALLS — Marble Falls High School sophomore swingman Garrett Gray and senior post Gayln Griffin were chosen to all-District 25-4A teams.

Gray was a second-team selection, while Griffin was honorable mention.

"It’s always good to have kids recognized for postseason honors," Mustangs head coach Bruce Etheridge said.

Gray averaged about 10 points a contest during district play, while Griffin was known for his ability to get rebounds and score in the paint.

"Garrett was the focus of many of our opponents," Etheridge said. "He had to deal with a lot night in and night out. It was good to see coaches in our district recognize and reward him.

"Gayln was our most consistent player throughout the year," he added. "He was the top guy in our pressure defense, which requires a lot of energy, and he brought it."

In addition, several Mustangs were selected academic all-district. They are junior guards Collin Edwards and Joey Blackledge, junior forwards Ben Stripling and Brian Shrubar, junior post Rex Printz and senior guard Clynt Powell.
