AUSTIN — Good thing the Faith Academy girls basketball team is used to getting its opponent’s best effort.

Austin Hill Country drained two 3-pointers to tie the game at 8-8 with a few minutes remaining in the first period Jan. 24.

But the Lady Flames (24-4, 7-0) showed patience in working to get a shot, which they nailed to take a 10-8 lead. From then on, they never looked back in a 51-36 victory.
