Mustangs soccer team plays well but doesn’t advance at tourney
STEPHENVILLE — Despite a 4-0 win against Joshua on Jan. 21, the Marble Falls High School boys soccer team did not advance at the Stephenville Tournament.
The Mustangs (3-4) didn’t win their pool but earned 19 points. The team that advanced to the semifinals had 21 points, but 10 points were from a forfeit.
Still, head coach Michael Nave said he saw plenty of good things from his squad.
“It would have been nice to have advanced,” he said. “We did our part. If we had a shutout in the first game or scored a goal in the second, things might have been different.”
