EXTRA POINTS: 400th win only the beginning for Cavender, Lady Dawgs
BURNET — The smile said it all.
In a season in which the Burnet High School girls basketball team has suffered through injury and illness, it was great to see the Lady Dawgs earn coach Mike Cavender his 400th career varsity victory in his 20th year coaching varsity.
And, it came against Lampasas, a long-time foe, in District 25-3A play.
It was Cavender’s 411th victory overall, and it says a lot about him.
