Mustangs face tough competition at Winter Classic soccer tourney

MARBLE FALLS — A back-and-forth game illustrated how the Marble Falls High School boys soccer team performed at its Winter Classic.
After splitting games Jan. 13, the Mustangs (1-3) lost to Austin KIPP Academy 3-2 and Austin LBJ 3-0 on Jan. 14.
“They played hard,” Marble Falls head coach Michael Nave said. “They didn’t give up.”
The Mustangs found themselves trailing for most of the tournament with opponents taking advantage of their inexperience.
