Mustang junior varsity outlasts Vipers for second district win
MARBLE FALLS — The Marble Falls High School junior varsity boys basketball squad earned a closely contested 42-38 win against the Leander Vandegrift Vipers on Jan. 13.
The Mustangs (2-2) had to overcome a slow start in the first quarter. Shooting a little more than 30 percent from the floor (7 of 22) and 1-of-6 shooting from the free-throw line, Marble Falls scored five points in the first quarter and 15 in the half.
As challenging as shooting was, the defense proved to be more than a match for the Vipers.
