Mustangs look for win before holiday break
MARBLE FALLS — The Marble Falls High School boys basketball team is in need of a victory, preferably a decisive one, before breaking for the Christmas holidays.
The Mustangs are coming off a 69-39 loss to Temple on Dec. 12 and did not get a double-digit scoring effort from any player.
San Antonio FEAST, however, is riding a two-game winning streak with victories against Uvalde and Knippa.
Both Marble Falls and FEAST have lost to Austin St. Michael’s this season.
Game times have changed. The varsity will tip off at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 16, while the junior varsity will play at 4 p.m. Both games will be in Max Copeland Gym, 2101 Mustang Drive. The freshmen will tip off at 4 p.m. in the Mustang Gym on the high school campus, 2101 Mustang Drive.
TOP PLAYERS: Marble Falls – Garrett Gray (averaging 10 points a game) and Rey Baltazar (averaging 11 points a game). FEAST – Jonathan Hancock (averaging 10 points a game) and Levi Day (averaging 9 points a game).
ON OFFENSE: Marble Falls – Keelin Gamble, Ben Stripling. FEAST – Brandon Bell and Ryan Shumake.
ON DEFENSE: Marble Falls – Gayln Griffin and Clynt Powell.
