Marble Falls freshman playing at national soccer championship
MARBLE FALLS — Marble Falls High School freshman Erik Salgado is about to embark on a journey most athletes dream of.
Salgado will travel with his Chivas United 3-on-3 team to the national soccer championship in Orlando on Jan. 14-16.
Chivas United, which consists of six 14-year-old players, is ranked No. 1 in their age bracket out of 122 teams.
Salgado is the only Burnet County resident on the squad, his father Irvin Salgado said.
