Shirley August ‘S.A.’ Landry
Shirley August “S.A.” Landry, 90, of Marble Falls died Dec. 11, 2011. He was born Sept. 2, 1921, in Sulphur, La., to Jack and Inez Nacquin Landry.
He served in the Navy during World War II and was a Pearl Harbor survivor.
He was employed as a tax accountant and was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife of almost two years, Ruby Boultinghouse Landry of Marble Falls; children Lynnette McCasland and husband Gary of Marble Falls, Dr. Larry Landry and wife Judith of Indian Harbor, Fla., and Janet May of Garland; grandchildren Julie Davinson and husband Pete of Germany, Marcy Robinson and Jill Robinson, both of Houston, the Rev. Brad Landry and wife Elizabeth of Birmingham, Ala., Darcie Rochester and husband Jeremy and Stacie Lane and fiancé Jeff Allen, all of Garland; and great-grandchildren Hattie Landry, Nyla Davinson, Noah Landry, Audrey Davinson and Hunter Rochester.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation is 5-7 p.m. Dec. 13 at Edgar Funeral Home, 2105 U.S. 281 North in
Marble Falls, (830) 693-5808.
A funeral services is 1 p.m. Dec. 14 at the funeral home chapel with Deacon Ed Holicky officiating.
