Lady Flames put in solid defensive effort in win

MARBLE FALLS — After playing to a 23-23 tie at the half against Austin St. Michael’s on Dec. 6, Faith Academy girls basketball coach Jerry English challenged his players to return to the good habits they showed in the first quarter.
In essence, he instructed the Lady Flames to pick up their defensive intensity. That led to a 52-37 victory.
"I was really proud of my kids," he said. "It was one of those games where we couldn’t get anything going. We were able to come back around and beat a pretty good opponent."

The third period was all Faith as it scored 13 points but only allowed four.
