Ponies win final games; Bullpups defeat Llano

AUSTIN — The Ponies seized control of the game early and never stopped playing in earning a win in the final contest of the 2011 season.
TOP PLAYERS: Juan Rodriguez scored all three touchdowns thanks to runs of 40 and 65 yards and caught a 60-yard pass. Oscar Sanchez and Juan Rodriguez each recorded an interception, while Jared Reed recovered a fumble.
ON OFFENSE: Quarterback Brandon Williams, running backs Brandon Montez and Trey Rodriguez and linemen Marc Hernandez, Luis Martinez, Jordan Jones, Jared Reed, Cody Jukes, Matt Cervantez and Holden Fox

MARBLE FALLS — The Ponies established their running game early, and Westridge had no answer as Marble Falls closed out the season with a victory.
TOP PLAYERS: Running back Davin Manning scored on touchdown runs of 19, 4, 55, 5 and 47 yards. Fullback Weston Schultz scored the final touchdown on a 1-yard run. Kicker Gavino Tinajera connected on five attempts for 10 points.
ON OFFENSE: Heath Dooley, Cade Cool, Michael Hall, Aaron Kohutek, John Winn, Jon Bryer, Roman Ruiz, Dawson Atwood, Oscar Martinez and Jon Wilson

LLANO — The Bullpups scored an offensive touchdown every drive in the first half, while the defense stifled the Daubers, who had negative 21 yards in the opening quarters, to build a 20-0 half-time advantage.
TOP PLAYERS: Jacob Brown finished with 171 yards, four touchdowns and three two-point conversions. Micah Wise rushed for 91 yards, a touchdown run and a touchdown pass to Tayden Qualls.
ON OFFENSE: Tyler Ford, Thor Wallace, Hunter Dickehut, Hunter Blair, Brock Brandenburg and Cody Moore
