Flames tackle Twitter for game updates

MARBLE FALLS — Faith Academy will help Flame football fans stay caught up with the team — in 140 characters or less.

Athletic director John Berkman said the small private school will have a Twitter account under FAMF Sports. Fans can go to www.twitter.com and search for FAMF Sports, he said.

Administrator Mark Earwood will update the account during contests, Berkman said.

“We’re definitely going to have somebody doing it for football and basketball games,” he said.

Earwood will have scoring summaries, he said, that look a lot like box scores. He said he looks forward to updating fans on the progress of the team, which went 9-2 last year.
